The line “We’re about to get kicked out of Sephora…” is disruptive and unexpected, creating a hook that keeps viewers engaged.

Viewers become curious about the outcome and stay invested to see if they really get kicked out of Sephora and why.

This element of surprise is an effective hook to capture attention.

2. Immediate Results

The ad contrasts the shiny, sweaty side of the face with the matte finish of the Carpe primer, providing a real-time visual demonstration of the product's effectiveness.

By showing immediate results, the ad appeals directly to the audience's desire for practical, fast-acting solutions.

The line about not being in Sephora “yet” but going viral creates an aspirational yet playful tone.
