You can iterate on winning concepts as long as they keep performing. The key is to repurpose the elements that make the ad successful to multiply its success.

There are unlimited ways you can repurpose and iterate your winning video ads. Here are some that come to mind:

  1. Change hook text, visuals, voiceover

  2. Trim the video, repurpose formats

  3. Add winning hooks from other ads

  4. Mashup with different b-roll

  5. Green screen with creator

  6. Respond to comment style

  7. Whitelist your ads

  8. Stitch ads

These are all small tweaks to help you multiply the success of your winning ads.

I would always start with these tweaks to your winning ads and see if you can successfully turn one winning ad into multiple winning ads.

Multiplying Winning Ads

Then I would try to recreate the winners. There are 2 best ways you can do this:

  1. Film the same script with another creator

  2. Film a similar script with the same creator

What makes a winning ad? A perfect combination of creator and messaging.

That’s why you want to play with one of these variables at a time (creator or messaging) and try to recreate your winning ads to scale your ad account even further.

Are there any you could recreate with a different creator?

Or hire the same creator for a similar script?

Messaging

You test dozens of ads to find messaging that delivers outstanding results. Then you use the same winning messaging across many different visuals and creative styles:

  • Product-focused static ads

  • Lifestyle static ads

  • Commercial video ads

  • UGC video ads

Anything you can think of, use the same winning messaging.

You can see the winning messaging from HexClad and how they repurpose it across different visuals.

What you don’t see here is they repurposed the same messaging in the hooks of their most successful video ads with Gordon Ramsay.

Visuals

Same as with messaging, but you’re looking for winning visuals. Whether that's a product photo, lifestyle photo, a specific design, or video that performs extremely well.

When you find a visual that works, combine it with your winning headlines and messaging to create your all-time best-performing ads.
