I wanted to share the behind-the-scenes of one of my favorite ads—one that our team at 10X ROAS created for a client this month.

It’s a standout example of how the right mix of personalization, clear messaging, and emotional storytelling can drive incredible results.

Today, I’ll break down the key elements that make this ad so good—from its attention-grabbing personalized gifting hook to the emotional connection that keeps people watching.

1. Personalized Gifting Hook

The ad starts with "Looking for the perfect gift? I've got the thing!"

This immediately grabs attention by addressing a common problem—the difficulty of finding a meaningful gift.

Personalized products, especially in the gifting niche, resonate because they offer unique value that is emotionally charged.

2. Clear Value Proposition

We then clearly introduce the product and its key benefits:

  • Customization: Upload any photo, and it becomes a paint-by-numbers canvas.

  • All-inclusive package: Mentioning that it includes paints, brushes, and a frame removes potential objections and simplifies the buying decision.

  • Ease of use: Describing the process as simple makes it feel less intimidating for non-artists.

3. Emotional Appeal

The ad emphasizes a personal story, stating that the speaker got a kit for their partner, who "absolutely loved it." This reinforces the idea that the product is a perfect gift.

4. Visualizing the Outcome

The phrase “they turn it into a paint-by-numbers masterpiece” encourages viewers to envision the end result—a beautiful, personal piece of art.

This appeals to both the creative and the pragmatic aspects of the consumer's mind.

Winning Ad Creative Breakdown With 4.15 ROAS and 50% Hook Rate
